If you prefer your Pinot Noirs to be full-flavored with concentrated ripe fruit, then make Ironstone your weeknight sipper.  It offers luscious black cherries mixed with baking spices and vanilla. It is 87% Pinot Noir blended with Souzao, a bold Portuguese varietal.  The wine aged 6 months in French oak.  The Kautz Family farms grapes in their Thornton Ranch property in the Jahant sub-AVA, the closest Lodi AVA to the California Delta, a vast waterway that directly connects to the Pacific Ocean. These vineyards benefit the greatest from the daily ocean breezes, making it one of the coolest areas in typically warm Lodi.
