Tilenus Mencia 2021, Bierzo, Spain
Tilenus is a delicious and friendly example of Mencia from superstar winemaker Raul Perez. This wine’s wide aromatic range includes raspberry, strawberry, and cherry, with subtle notes of flowers, earth, and cinnamon intermixed. You will find it to be both unctuous and fresh on the palate, with fleshy cherry fruit on a medium body with velvety tannins. Tilenus is vinified entirely in stainless steel. This excellent wine is enjoyable on its own, or would be terrific with grilled lamb chops seasoned with rosemary sprigs.
