Tenuta San Lorenzo was established in 1966, when the two young brothers – Luigi and Giambattista Cazzulo – bought the property. The estate itself dates back to the 1600 and has been growing a variety of grapes and other agricultural products since then. The 16 hectares are now planted exclusively to Cortese and are located in the Gavi DOCG. The soil here is mostly calcareous with a high level of lime-stone which helps the grapes maintain a high level acidity. The wine is fresh and vibrant, showing lots of white peach, lemon pith, sage, and flinty minerality. Classic and delicious.
