Telmo Rodriguez “Basa” Verdejo 2021, Rueda

Basa white jumps from the glass with citrus and peach interwoven with vibrant cut grass and bell pepper on a light-to-medium body.  A saline note lingers on its crisp finish.  It is an unoaked blend of 90% Verdejo and 10% Viura that is fresh, balanced, clean and easy to drink. Fans of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc should give this a try. If you don’t polish off the bottle in one night, this wine still shows well after it’s been open for a day.
