Swingset Chardonnay 2021, Napa Valley, California

A collaboration between Boulder Wine Merchant Owner Brett Zimmerman and Winemaker Ed Killian, the 2016 Swing Set Chardonnay is everything you want from a Napa Valley Chardonnay. Sourced from some of the best vineyards in central Napa Valley and the cooler Oak Knoll district in the south, the grapes for this wine fermented and aged in barrels for 10 months. After bottling, the wine aged further in the winery’s cellar for years to gain additional complexity and layers of flavor. The nose shows a combination of ripe tree fruits, baked pineapple, lemon meringue pie, cloves, star anise, and brioche. A pronounced note of butterscotch has developed with its time in bottle.  Rich and generous on the palate, this wine can stand up to most meals.
