Stephen Vincent Pinot Noir 2020, North Coast, California

It is challenging to find good inexpensive Pinot Noir, and we found this one to be an incredible value. Stephen Vincent offers good varietal character with plush notes of cherry, raspberry, and strawberry, a touch of oak, and soft tannins. It is overall round in the mouth  with just enough acidity to provide a pleasant lift on the palate. This Pinot Noir aged in French oak (15% of which was new) for 13 months.  The Stephen Vincent wine label was founded by winemaker Robert Goyotte, an industry icon who co-founded La Crema in 1979 and has made wine for 40 vintages in Sonoma County.  Enjoy sipping this wine on its own, or pair with grilled salmon with roasted mushrooms, or just a piece of brie.
