From the producer: “The 2018 Sanford Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir is a blend of fruit from both of our estate vineyards: the historic Sanford & Benedict Vineyard (72%) and La Rinconada Vineyard (28%). These singular vineyards are in the heart of the Sta. Rita Hills appellation. A wide range of Pinot Noir selections are planted on these sites, and this wine is a blend of 8 of them from several different soil types. 2018 was the coolest vintage we have had since 2011, gracing thesewines with more spice and savory character, and an elegant palate.”
