Punset “Ne?” Langhe Bianco 2021, Italy

This charming Piemontese white is a blend of Arneis, Cortese, and Favorita, all organically grown. It wafts from the glass with aromas of orange blossoms and yellow apples.  The nose gives way to a plush mouthful of pears, almonds, golden raisins, honey and minerals with a lengthy finish.  It is unoaked and dry, yet lush and round on the palate.  Punset’s bianco will be terrific with autumnal dishes such as butternut squash.  “Punset” is from the Piedmontese dialect meaning “beautiful hill.” The estate is located in Neive, in the heart of the Langhe area of Piedmont on top of a hill overlooking the historic capital. “Ne?” Is Piedmontese for “isn’t it?!” As in “isn’t it good?” (And yes, it is!)
