Pichler-Krutzler Riesling Loiben 2020, Wachau, Austria

At the eastern gate to the Wachau region, in the so called Loibner basin these grapes are grown on river sediments consisting of a majority of gravel. At night, cool air from a side valley, the so called Menthalgraben is streaming down into the Loibner basin. This kind of terroir is resulting in very pure and vigorous wines containing high but ripe acidity. An especially ibrant and dry Riesling.
