Paolo Scavino Rosso 2020
Paolo Scavino is a long standing family winery in the Barolo region. It was founded in 1921 in Castiglione Falletto by Lorenzo Scavino and his son Paolo. Enrico Scavino runs the estate today, together with his daughters Enrica and Elisa, who are the fourth generation. Although best known for their outrageously good and fairly-priced cru Baroli, their “table wines” have always had a warm place in our hearts. This Rosso is made from a blend of Barbera, Dolcetto, and Nebbiolo taken from the younger vines on the estate. Each grape is fermented separately before the final blend is constructed. Delicate aromas of red cherries and fresh berries balanced with subtle spice and soft tannins. Perfect with antipasti or most subtle Italian dishes.
