Here is a clean and approachable introduction to the world of skin contact whites for you. The fermenting juice remained unseparated from the grape skins and seeds for 7 to 18 days. So this isn’t a full-blown orange wine, but did pick up some additional texture and phenolic grip. Gulpable and lively, enjoy floral aromas and a mellow mid palate of melon, apple, and herbs.
Chaumurs family are the grape farmers. The 35-hectare ‘Mother Block’ is at the heart of all that they do. This unique and diverse vineyard houses plantings of each variety that Chalmers have imported to Australia over the last 20 years. It is the source block for supplying millions of vines planted across Australia. Their white is an unusual blend of Italian varietals: 46% Vermentino, 35% Guano, 7% Ansonica, 6% Pecorino, 5% Moscato Giallo, and 2% Greco!
