Mauro Molino Barolo “Bricco Luciani” 2018
Az. Agr. Mauro Molino is a 12Ha estate located in the commune of La Morra. They claim holdings in some of La Morra’s most storied vineyards: Gattera, Bricco Luciani, Conca and Gallinotto. The family has owned the farm since 1953. Mauro was the first to bottle wine in 1978 and his first Barolo was made in 1982. Now Mauro’s son, Matteo and daughter, Martina are taking on a large role in the estate. The Nebbiolo grapes for the Cru Barolo macerated in contact with the grape skins for a duration of 10 days, before alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks for 20 days, and malolactic fermentation and aging in French oak barrels for 18 months.
