Los Monteros is a surprisingly good bottle of sparkling wine for its humble price point. While most Cavas are blends from Catalan,  this is a refreshing and vibrant expression of 100% Macabeo from Utiel-Requena, near Valencia.  Look for citrus, apple, and orchard fruits alongside creamy cultured butter on toasted bread.  Lively bubbles give way to a dry and slightly nutty finish. Ideal as an aperitif and for celebrating the little things.
