Lavendette is a charmingly detailed and delicate traditional Provençal Rosé, and an especially good find at this price. It greets you with fresh aromas of strawberries, herbs, and Smarties candy accidentally by white pepper and yes, lavender. The structured palate repeats the strawberry flavor and layers in fresh orange, complete with a pithy bitterness. This wine is made from 60% Grenache, 25% Syrah, and 15% Cinsault. A perfect accompaniment to quiche, whether for brunch or dinner.
