Kabola Malvazija “Amfora” 2018, Istria, Croatia

After maceration in amphoras, this Istrian Malvasia continues to mature in large wooden barrels. Featuring an intense straw-yellow color with a golden sheen, this wine is clear and full-bodied. The bouquet opens with notes of quince compote, followed by dried fern, star anise, vanilla and herbs. This wine is dry and retains a crisp freshness, mild tannins, excellent minerality and full body. Look for ripe peach and bitter almond on the finish. We suggest pairing this wine with a cheese board so it can really shine.
