This is a dark-fruited and savory expression of Côtes-du-Rhône that is meant for your dinner table. Look for aromas and flavors of dark red cherries, peppery spice, earth, and oregano. It has a medium body and velvety tannins. Parallèle 45 is named after the 45th parallel, the famous circle of latitude that marks the midpoint between the equator and the North Pole. It just so happens to pass over the cellars of Paul Jaboulet Aîné. We recommend pairing this red with lasagna and Mediterranean vegetables.
