Guillaume Gonnet “Le Rêveur” Côtés du Rhone Rouge 2020

We were wowed by how terrific this Côtés du Rhone is for the price.  Textbook in style, Le Rêveur is a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah. Impressively aromatic, it wafts from the glass with notes of red cherries, violets, and licorice.  Juicy red cherries occupy the mid-palate and lead into darker fruits, earth, and spice on the finish.  It is chewy and mouthfilling with satiny tannins.  Enjoy this food-versatile red with burgers, pizza, or roasted chicken with root vegetables.
