Guarda Rios, named after the kingfisher bird, is a bold and tasty Portuguese red crafted in an international style. It is a blend of Aragónez, Syrah, Trincadeira, and Alicante Bouschet. It was vinified in stainless steel and then aged partially in French oak. Guarda Rios is exuberant, offering up plenty of ripe and brambly dark red fruits accented by vanilla, oak, pepper, and olive tapenade. Super with a flank steak or pizza.
