Gevrey-Chambertin, Pernot et Fils “Les Jeunes Rois” 2022
The Domaine Pernot was established in 1900, with Pascal, the fourth generation, taking over the domaine in 2018. The “Les Jeunes Rois” lieu-dit houses Pinot Noir vines that are over 80-years-old and biodynamically farmed. This elegant light red is deeply rooted in stony terroir and draws its minerality, finesse and depth from it. It fermented and aged for 18 months in oak barrels (30% new, 30% 1-year-old and 30% older barrels) from Allier and Vosges.
