Gauchezco Reserve Red Blend 2019, Mendoza, Argentina

Gauchezco’s Malbec-based blend introduces itself with a ruby hue and come-hither aromatics that pull you in closer. Its broad mid palate offers flavors of plums and blackberries layered with black pepper and autumn leaves. The 55% Malbec, 25% Petit Verdot, and 20% Cabernet Franc were grown in a historically important single vineyard founded in 1881 by the Governor of Mendoza, Tiburcio Benegas. The hand-harvested varietals were vinified separately prior to maturing for 10 months in used French and American oak.
