Gassier 2020 Côtés-du-Rhone, France

Gassier’s Côtés-du-Rhône is made in a classic style with impressive concentration. Aromas of violets, dark cherries, and black pepper repeat on the round palate with a pleasant freshenss.  The fruity and savory notes balance each other well, and the tannins are velvety.  It is comprised of sustainably grown 75% Grenache, 15% Mourvedre, and 10% Syrah. The destemmed grapes were vinified in concrete vats to preserve the purity of the fruit, and it was bottles with minimal sulfur. This red is food-versatile, but we recommend game meats and sausages, or a pizza with Mediterranean vegetables.
