Esteban Martín Garnacha-Syrah 2018, Cariñena, Spain

This delicious Spanish red is a blend of 85% Garnacha and 15% Syrah. Lovely aromas reminiscent of cherry Jolly Rancher, blueberries, and black pepper give way to flavors of spice, smoked meats, berry compote, and black olive tapenade.  It is medium-bodied with round tannins, just enough balancing acidity, and a lingering finish.  Esteban Martin is an impressive value. You can sip this with your feet up, or pair it with Mediterranean flavors, lamb burgers, sausage, or pizza.
