Echeverria Cabernet Franc “No Es Pituko” Valley de Curíco 2022, Chile

Here is a fun and lighthearted red if you are interested in “natural” wines.  This sustainably grown Cabernet Franc was vinified in a very hands-off manner: with indigenous yeast and no added sulfur, oak, or filtration.  Its light sediment settles, so give the bottle a gentle shake before serving.  No Es Pituko’s intense ruby hue gives way to vivacious aromas and flavors of boysenberries and red currant jam layered with plum and raspberry. This bottle hails from a single vineyard of ungrafted pre-phylloxera French rootstock.
