Domaine du Cellier Aux Moines Aligoté “Sous les Roches” 2020

The Pascal family runs Domaine du Cellier aux Moines in Givry. Dating back to  1130, it is one of Burgundy’s oldest estates. They purchased the historic but then run-down farm in 2004 and have spent the last decade and a half restoring the iconic property and reviving the grape growing and winemaking there. The farm is organic certified and much grape-growing is biodynamic. These wines are relatively new to the U.S. market and are already allocated. Their Aligoté, labelled “Sous les Roches,” comes from a vineyard in Montagny planted in 1945.
