Domaine Begude “Terroir 11300” Chardonnay, 2022 France
We are charmed by this organically-grown Chardonnay. Impressively aromatic for the varietal, Begude offers scents of apple blossom and apple skin. You will find it to be fresh and bright on the palate with flavors of apple and pear on a medium body. This Chardonnay has a creamy texture but is not oaky, as only 10% of the wine fermented in oak demi-muids. It is classy and balanced, in the style of Mâconnais. All of the fruit is estate grown in the cool elevations of Limoux, which is situated in the western Languedoc in the foothills of the Pyrenees.
