Of all the producers of Madeira, D’Oliveira has the greatest library of old vintages. Director Luis D’Oliveira has been a staunch defender of long aging in cask and was among the first producers to add bottling dates to his back labels.
This 1971 was bottles in 2017. Terrantez is the rarest style of Madeira. It is medium-dry. Enjoy dried raisins and figs and caramel intermixed with pipe tobacco. Lemony citrus and granny Smith apple characterize the high acidity.
