Here is a youthful and fresh chianti for your casual dinner table.  It is the everyday wine from an excellent winery, Badia a Coltibuono.  It is organically grown 100% Sangiovese from the Colli Senesi and Colli Aretini subzones of Chianti. It displays a garnet hue and subtle aromas of red and dark cherries.  With air, the palate opens up to offer flavors of sour cherries and raspberries with a bright, snappy acidity and light tannins.  This unoaked wine has a charming rustic and earthy edge.  Be sure to pick up a jar of red sauce and pasta while you’re here.
