Couvent de Pondaurat 2022 Bordeaux Blanc, France

This Bordeaux Blanc from Château des Antonins is a surprisingly crisp and zesty white wine comprised of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Semillon. It is unoaked, but gained some richness from extended lees aging. Look for citrus and tropical fruits with a lifted, green laurel notse and plenty of minerals. The Château des Antonins is housed in a 13th century convent that was built for the order of Saint Antoine. The domaine is located in Pondaurat, on the left bank of the Garonne near the Graves appellation. Today it is family owned and run. Sip Couvent de Pondaurent blanc as a refreshing aperitif or pair it with white fish, green veggies, and goat cheese.
