Comtesse de Malet Roquefort Bordeaux 2018
This is an impressive discovery in value-priced Bordeaux. Attractive and juicy red fruits make it approachable and friendly, but it is also just dark, structured, and handsome enough to be classic. Blackcurrants, plum, and autumn leaves reveal themselves in your glass. Its acidity and tannins are both moderate and nicely harmonized.
Comtesse de Malet Roquefort is made by the family who owns and makes Château La Gaffelière in Saint Emilion. This estate-grown wine is a blend of 80% Merlot, and 20% Cabernet Franc. It was vinified all in stainless steel.
