‘Mr. Chile is made by Clos des Fous, one of Chile’s most exciting and authentic natural wine producers helmed by four friends, one of whom is Pedro Parra, the world-renowned terroir specialist who consults with top-notch wineries around the globe. His signature style features tension, minerality, and minimal intervention, all of which are very apparent in this fabulous bottling from the Itata Valley, which is comprised of 75% Pais (AKA Mission), 17% Cinsault and 8% Carignan. Great with a chill, this is lacy and crystalline with vibrant notes of spiced plum, red cherry, blackberry and cola.”
This fun blend from Itata has notes of ripe red raspberries, tobacco, rose petals, mint, eucalyptus, and juicy red apple on the nose. The palate explodes with red fruits dominated by raspberries and strawberries with some hints of caramel apple that to lead to a finish of dark chocolate and earl gray tea with medium tannins.
