Château Massiac Sauvignon Blanc 2019

Chateau Massiac has a long history that dates back to the Roman Empire when this area was colonized by the Romans using the nearby Mediterranean port of Narbonne. The estate transferred ownership numerous times and was eventually burned down during the French Revolution. Bernard Boudouresques and his family recently revived the domaine, planting vineyards and converting the estate to organic viticulture. The Sauvignon Blanc is fermented in stainless steel tanks and left to age for about 2 seasons before bottling. Although pretty variable from vintage to vintage, the 2019 shows ripe citrus notes with a clean, mineraly finish. Shockingly good for the price but with limited availability.
