Château Chasse-Spleen Moulis-en-Médoc 2019

Château Chasse-Spleen is one of Moulis’ leading estates. Although it is classified only as a Cru Bourgeois, it regularly outperforms many of the Médoc’s more renowned classed growths. The wine is composed of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and 7% Petit Verdot aged in French oak barrels (40% new) for 12-15 months before bottling. Chasse-Spleen is consistently an elegant, fresh and classical wine with a lot of energy and drive on the finish with great aging potential. Drink from age 5-30. Enjoy notes of cassis and blackberry fruit with aromas of pencil shaving, cedar and hints of smoke. Supple in texture with taut structure, finishing with restrained elegance, freshness and juicy tannins.
