Left Bank Bordeaux, one of the great expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon in the world, at Boulder Wine Merchant.

This week’s email offer is the last in our Bordeaux series. For our final Bordeaux newsletter, we’re going straight to the top: Left Bank Bordeaux where Cabernet Sauvignon thrives in the gravelly soils that lie to the west of the famed Garonne River.

Click here to see the complete offering.

The drainage in the pebbly soils causes the vines to struggle to find the water table and the nutrients they need. In turn, this “stress” makes the plants produce richer fruit.

The châteaux along the left bank produce some of the most famous and celebrated expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon in the world. Renowned for their aging potential, they are favorites among top collectors of French wines.

For our complimentary Wednesday tasting next week (2/22, 5-7 p.m.), we’ll be pouring four of our favorite Left Bank Bordeaux wines. This is another tasting that you don’t want to miss!

Château Bel-Orme Tronquoy-de-Lalande Haut-Médoc 2010 ($38.98)
Chevalier Lascombes Margaux 2019 ($58.98)
Château Latour-Martillac Pessac-Leognan 2019 ($67.98)
