Taste value-driven wines, including a great red from Loire, next Wednesday 10/12.
One of the featured wines for October that we are most excited about is the Mary Taylor 2020 Anjou Rouge by Loire Valley grower Pascal Biotteau.
Here’s what New York Times wine critic Eric Asimov had to say about Mary and her wines in a glowing review from last year, “How to Sell Good, Inexpensive Wines Without Pandering.”
Mary “has come up with a packaging approach for European appellation wines that is clear, consistent, and unembellished, displaying the provenance and the producer on clean, white labels, with an easy-to-read font… They are excellent values… Most important, the wines she has chosen are all good, forthright, unadorned representations of their terroirs.”
Mary’s 2020 Anjou Rouge is just one of this month’s 12 featured wines and it’s one of the wines we will be pouring at next week’s complimentary Wednesday 10/12 tasting from 5-7 pm. Here’s the complete lineup:
Château de Campuget Tradition Blanc Costières de Nîmes 2021 ($12.99)
Venta la Vega “Adaras Lluvia” 2021, Almansa ($12.98)
Pascal Biotteau (Mary Taylor) Anjou Rouge, Loire 2020 ($18.99)
Zinke Syrah Central Coast, California 2018 ($12.99)
We hope to see you then! And thank you for your support. Click here to see all of this month’s featured wines.
Boulder Burgundy Festival is right around the corner.
Just a reminder that many of the Boulder Burgundy Festival (November 11-13) events are already sold out. But there are still some spots available, including the Sunday seminar and grand tasting. Please reserve here to ensure availability.
