Taste Friuli with Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson, Wednesday 9/13.

Please join us for what is sure to be an unforgettable tasting on Wednesday, September 13, as we welcome award-winning chef and now importer of top Italian wines, Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson.

Most of you know Lachlan through his work at Frasca where he and his partner Bobby Stuckey turned the world on to the wonders of Friulian gastronomy.

In recent years, he has shifted his focus to sourcing and importing some of the region’s most coveted wines.

Located in the far northeast of Italy, Friuli is nestled between the Italian Alps and the Adriatic Sea. Ideal wine growing conditions and its ancient limestone soils (known as “ponca”) make for some of the most compelling white and red wines in the world.

We couldn’t be more thrilled that Lachlan has selected Boulder Wine Merchant as the venue to pour two new-to-the-U.S. wineries for the first time ever: Due del Monte and Nec-Otium.

Both projects have some of the biggest names in Friulian wine behind them.

We look forward to seeing at next week’s complimentary tasting, Wednesday, 9/13, 5-7pm. This is one you don’t want to miss!
