“I decided to call this week’s tasting ‘Crush Season Kickoff,” says Brett. “Grape harvest started a few weeks ago and is now in full swing. So, that’s one of the meanings of ‘Crush Season’: a lot of berries are about to be crushed! But it’s also a nod to the beginning of football season. I wanted to see if I could capture that energy in a flight of wines. It’s one of my favorite times of year in terms of the flavors of the season and the wines we pour as the weather cools off.
