Two GREAT tastings (FREE): Brunello and local craft beers!

We have two awesome tastings lined up for you this Saturday, 5/28 (BRUNELLO) and next Wednesday, 6/1 (CRAFT BEER).

Burns Family Artisan Ales
with owner/brewer Laura Worley
Wednesday, June 1, 5-7:00 p.m.

Skip to the bottom for Saturday, 5/28 Brunello tasting details.

“We are thrilled to showcase a broad selection from our repertoire of excellent beer styles at Boulder Wine Merchant!” said brewer Laura Worley, above, with her partner Wayne Burns, their brewery’s namesake.

“The two newest on the shelf: A thrilling West Coast Style IIIPA, Media Frenzy (11.1%abv), gentle for its high alcohol, with a punchy fruity and dank hop profile; and Zero Over Zero: Blanton’s Bourbon Barrel-Aged, a collab with our great friends at River North Brewery, a BBA Imperial Stout (15.4%abv) that is blowing folks’ minds. Please join us in raising a glass to great beer. We’ll be there to talk shop, talk beer, and satisfy your cravings on June 1!”

Those are just some of the craft beers Laura will be pouring. Click here to browse all the beers that she’ll be presenting.

And THIS SATURDAY, 5/28, we will be pouring some of our favorite wines from Montalcino!

Capanna in Montosoli
with Daniele Marconi
Saturday, May 28, 3-6 p.m.

Daniele will be pouring the following wines:

Capanna Rosso di Montalcino 2019
Capanna Rosina 2021 (Rosé)
Capanna Brunello di Montalcino 2016 (94 points Robert Parker)
Capanna Brunello di Montalcino 2015 (92 points Robert Parker)

Those who have never tasted these extraordinary wines are in store for a real treat. Located in the western subzone of the Montalcino hill, Capanna is one of a handful of estates that form the historic backbone of the appellation. Although Patrizio Cencioni (the current president of the Brunello Consortium) and his wines have mostly remained off the public’s radar and are known only to a small group of Brunello insiders, they regularly receive glowing praise from critics on both sides of the Atlantic, including a 94 point score from Robert Parker for his classic Brunello di Montalcino 2016, which Daniele will pouring at the event.

We hope you can join us! Happy Memorial Day!
