Support your local wine shop! Please read and share Brett’s recent opinion piece about the new challenges faced by independent wine retailers in Colorado. New regulations allowing wine sales at big box grocers are threatening the livelihood of small businesses. Wine shops like Boulder Wine Merchant serve their community as a hub for fine wine, spirits, artisanal beer, and gourmet foods. But they also provide opportunities for education and socialization. Who says Dry January has to be boring or restrictive? Take these fun and flavorful new arrivals for a sip:

Pentire “Coastal Spritz” Aperitif $47.98/700mLPentire’s non-alcoholic coastal concoctions are interesting and complex.  Their red aperitif is concocted from quinine, blood orange, sea rosemary, and oakwood.  Serve it over ice or with club soda and garnish with an orange wedge.
