T. Henry Ransom Alembic Brandy 22 Years Old, Oregon – $91.98/375mL

T. Henry Ransom distilled this unique brandy from Willamette Valley Pinot Noir grapes in their direct-fire French Alembic pot still way back in 1999. The brandy then matured in French oak barrels that previously held Pinot Noir. Pale mahogany in the glass with a beguiling nose including rich aromas of toffee, cacao, and orange peel. The palate possesses tremendous concentration, with complex flavors of madeira-soaked cake, black mission figs, pu-er tea, and cigar box. This was a tiny production — only 480 half bottles were produced.

T. Henry Ransom Alembic Brandy 11 Years Old, Oregon – $144.98/750mL

T. Henry Ransom distilled this brandy made from Willamette Valley Pinot Noir grapes in their direct-fire French Alembic pot still back in 2011. The brandy then matured for 11 years in French oak barrels that previously housed Pinot Noir. Only 900 bottles were produced. Amber-hued in the glass, this unique brandy opens with aromas of clover blossom, spiced peach, vetiver, and caramel. On the palate, flavors of toasted hazelnut intermix with allspice and rye bread.
