A note from Brett and team:

We are in the final days before the Christmas holiday, yet it’s 70 degrees outside, windy, and the overall atmosphere feels anything but traditionally wintry. Adding to this unusual season, unexpected power outages and the Wild Turkey Fire have brought additional stress and uncertainty to the Boulder community.

Beginning last Wednesday, Community Plaza was without power for more than four days, leaving us unable to serve our community during what is typically one of the busiest weeks of the year. Needless to say, this was not the holiday business week we had hoped for or expected.

And yet, the spirit of the season shone brightly during the outage and our temporary closure. We were deeply grateful for our staff and friends and family who offered help and showed up in support during a challenging time. We were even loaned generators and Starlink access, which allowed us to process a few orders while the power was out. A heartfelt thank you to the customers who made the effort to come by and support us. It was strange, a bit like camping, but incredibly meaningful, and we truly appreciate everyone who showed up.

Once again, we are reminded of how extraordinary our local community is, especially in moments of need. This is what the holidays are truly about. Even when the outside world feels less than holiday inspired, it is the love, generosity, and support we share that define the season. We are grateful for the wonderful people in our lives and remain optimistic as we close out the year with positive energy and hopeful thoughts for the New Year.
