“I am a huge fan of Alsatian wines,” says Brett, “especially during the end of the summer when garden produce and seasonal weather make the transition to fall. The colder weather and richer cuisine of the season call for something with more texture and richness. The white wines of Alsace offer power and finesse with an oily richness that balances full-flavored savory dishes. Anything with mushrooms, squash, potatoes, and earthy root vegetables are some of my favorite food stuffs to pair with the wines of Alsace.”
