The Cielo Family first began producing wines in the Veneto Region in 1908. Their tasty red blend is crafted from four varietals grown in separate regions to highlight the different growing areas throughout Italy: it features 42% Sangiovese from Abruzzo, 28% Merlot from the Veneto, 25% Cabernet from Sicily and 15% Primitivo from Apuglia. After coming together, the wine matured for 7 months in new and used oak. It possesses a garnet hue and showcases a bouquet of ripe red fruits, with notes of cherry and plum taking center stage, complemented by subtle hints of sun-dried tomato, Mediterranean herbs and a touch of spice. On the palate, it offers a harmonious balance of fruit-forward flavors and gentle tannins, culminating in a smooth, lingering finish that beckons another taste. there is just enough acidity to brighten and balance Cielo’s overall round and fruity character.
