Domaine des Escaravailles “Les Sablières” 2020 Côtes-du-Rhône
You know we love Domaine des Escaravailles, a reliable producer based in Rasteau. Their “Sablieres” Côtes-du-Rhône is an organically-farmed blend of 70% Grenacha and 30% Syrah. Take in scents redolent of violets along with bright and dark red fruits. The medium-bodied and mouth filling palate offers a balance of raspberries and earthy, peppery tones with velvety tannins and a long finish. Les Sablieres opens up beautifully, so we recommend decanting or at least letting the wine sit in your glass for a bit. Enjoy it with lamb, grilled sausages, and Mediterranean flavors. We were able to lower the price of this wine for this month’s feature, so be sure to stock up if you’re a fan.
