Domaine Begude “Le Cerisier” Pinot Noir 2022, Languedoc, France

Begude’s “Cerisier” Pinot Noir is especially charming.  A ruby hue beckons you to take in aromas of cherries and flavors of ripe strawberries, black raspberries, and a delicate earthy note. The tannins are soft and velvety.  Domaine Begude is based in Limoux, where they farmed these Pinot Noir grapes organically.  10% of the wine aged in oak demi-muids while 90% rested in stainless steel.  You can sip this on its own or pair it with duck, roast chicken with mushrooms, or lean beef dishes.
