Curatolo Arini “Paccamora” Catarratto 2022, Sicily, Italy

Paccamora shines yellow-gold in the glass and offers expressive aromas and flavors of citrus blossom, yellow delicious apple, peach and crushed stones.  It has a slight waxiness and a medium body with a crisp finish.  This wine was vinified in stainless steel.  Curatolo Arini is the oldest family-owned Marsala winery, dating back to 1875.  These Catarratto grapes come from the western side of the island near the towns of Vita and Salemi. While maintaining a focus on  traditional varieties, they shifted towards producing dry wines to suit modern tastes. Sip on this refreshing white as an aperitif, or serve it with lighter fish dishes or spaghetti with clams.
