Hirsch Riesling Zobing 2021, Kamptal, Austria
The wine-growing town of Zöbing lies directly at the foot of Heiligenstein on Urgestein bedrock. Hirsch is an excellent producer. Their single-vineyard dry Riesling displays aromas of lemon and lemon grass with some honeysuckle, following through to a medium body, a solid core of fruit and a fresh finish. Limey aftertaste. Hirsch crafts stunningly vibrant and expressive dry Rieslings. This bottling is a terrific introduction to their style.
