Jean Perrier et Fils Pinot Noir 2019, Savoie
This charming and earthy rendition of Pinot Noir hails from a picturesque Alpine region. Aromas of brambly raspberries beside a barn lead into cherries on the sheer and supple palate. The tannins have a lovely satiny texture. This unoaked wine is from a cool climate, so don’t expect a jammy fruit bomb. It is meant for your dinner table and is also delicious with triple creme cheese such as Délice de Bourgogne. The winery was founded in 1853. Gilbert Perrier and his son, Gilles, are the fifth and sixth generation to make wine in Savoie.
