La Tourbeille Bordeaux Superieur 2015

Like many Bordeaux chateaux, La Tourbeille has been a Bordeaux wine producing property for centuries. The 10-hectare vineyard is perched on a sunny hilltop above the Dordogne River on the Côte de La Tourbeille, 20 kilometers east of Saint-Emilion. The vineyard is bordered by 35-hectares of woods, a fruit orchard and natural prairies to foster indigenous biodiversity. The wine is a blend of 60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc. The 2015 vintage was a fantastic vintage in Bordeaux and has allowed this wine to age gracefully. Dried red and black berries lead into notes of dried violets, sweet tobacco and dried leafs. Very classic.
