Sean Minor ‘4 Bears’ Pinot Noir 2019

If there would be a Californian equivalent of the great French négociants, it would have to be Sean Minor. Founded in 2005 under the name Four Bears, the Sean Minor brand has grown into a 150,000 annual case production behemoth. But even through all that growth, Sean and his wife Nicole have not bought a single vineyard or even their own winery. Instead they have depended on long-term contracts with grape farmers throughout California. With these valuable partnerships and the help of winemaker Will Bucklin there is no end in sight to what they can accomplish. Their Four Bears Pinot Noir is one of the first wines they made. Traditional in style and flavor, this is a big Pinot with lots of dark cherries, plums, baking spice and flowers.
