Presqu’ile Chardonnay Santa Barbara County 2020

Presqu’ile is a French/Creole word that means peninsula, or literally translated, “Almost an Island”. Growing up on Mississippi’s gulf coast, winery owner Madison Murphy has fond memories of time spent with family on their peninsula estate that his father had named Presqu’ile. When hurricane Katrina came along in 2005 and decimated the property, Madison took it as a sign to venture out to California and start the winery he had always wanted. Their Santa Barbara County Chardonnay is made from organic grapes and balances fresh tree fruits with crisp minerality and a hint of citrus, leading into a long, crisp finish.
